How to add Name to a place in Google maps

             


Step 1

Open you Favorite browser like chrome and enter www.google.com/mapmaker

Step 2

Sign in with your regular google account and password

Step 3 

Search for the location with city name/ landmark
Select satellite view (right side top of map) if it is not in satellite view mode
Zoom in to the desired level and identify the place which you want to name
Click on add new and click on "Add a new place"

Step 4 

Click on the place  where you want to name it..

Step 5

Select a category
There are several categories like ATM, Restaurant, Hospital  ,  etc etc more than 2000+ categories


Step  6

Enter the name you want in the box and click "continue"


Step 7 

Add all the details you know about the place  and   Click on "save"


Later Google will verify and changes and Once if it is approved by the Google it will publish to Google maps So you can see the name of it even your android mobiles
