But there is a condition 

That is you need to be the owner of the e-mail address you are going to give 

So if you have a e-mail account in Yahoo.com you can create a Google account with the same address

You don't need to create a new id for Google account 

you can use your old to access all Google services

Enter first name and last name 

Step 3 

Click on "I prefer to use my current email address"  as shown in below figure
